About me
I prefer to speak about myself through my photographs rather than through many words.
I'm interested in people – their personality, their presence, and especially what isn't immediately apparent. A glance, a gesture, a movement, or a moment of silence can sometimes reveal more about someone than a perfect pose.
My photographic work lies between portraiture and fine art. I use light, shadow, space, and staging not only as design tools, but also to create atmosphere and reveal personality.
I'm not interested in a perfect likeness of a person. I'm interested in an image that evokes something.
For me, a portrait comes to life when a photograph makes the viewer pause for a moment, when it evokes emotions or raises the question of who the person in the picture really is.
Perhaps this is also the best way to learn something about me:
through my pictures.
